In Frauenfeld (TG), the town council has approved a major construction project for the post office. This was reported by the "Thurgauer Zeitung" newspaper. The plan is to expand the existing parcel center in the east of Frauenfeld at a cost of CHF 200 million. The investment is intended to ensure the supply of parcels in eastern Switzerland and Zurich. Construction is due to start this year, with completion scheduled for 2028.

The location is Langfeldstrasse, where, according to earlier reports, Swiss Post has secured building rights for 1.45 hectares of land. The number of jobs at the parcel center will increase by 200. There were apparently no objections to the project during the public consultation.
