Waldstatt: Fortimo hands over operation of retirement home
The real estate developer from eastern Switzerland had been operating the "Bad Säntisblick" complex in Appenzell itself since 2016 and has now signed a contract with Liebenau Switzerland.

The eastern Swiss real estate developer Fortimo Group AG is placing the operation of the Bad Säntisblick retirement home in Waldstatt (AR) in new hands. The corresponding agreements with Liebenau Schweiz gemeinnützige AG were signed at the beginning of August. Fortimo has held the property in its real estate portfolio since 2016 and also managed the operation itself. "As part of its strategic focus on its core business, it has decided to look for a new operator with extensive experience and expertise in the healthcare sector for the Bad Säntisblick retirement home, who will determine and be responsible for the strategic and operational development of the business in the future," Fortimo writes in a press release.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the necessary approvals by the
the competent authorities.
The retirement home has been in existence since 1965. Including a new building completed in 2013, it comprises 37 single and 16 double rooms as well as two detached bungalows for a total of 60 pensioners. (aw)
