Aarau: 126 apartments under construction
Mobimo continues to make progress on the former Rockwell site. The foundation stone will soon be laid for half of the 250 apartments that the company is still building there.
The real estate company Mobimo was the driving force behind the development and revitalization of the "Torfeld Süd" industrial site in Aarau to create the Aeschbachquartier, which opened in 2019. The second-last expansion stage is now underway. Around 250 rental apartments will be built on the remaining part of the former "Rockwell site", construction site 3 with two construction areas, over the next few years. Building permission has been granted for the two buildings at Aeschbachweg 5 and 7-29 (construction area 1) and construction has begun. The foundation stone is due to be laid in mid-September. A total of 126 rental apartments will be built in the two buildings. While the courtyard building will be a timber construction, the existing factory building will be incorporated into the hall building. Completion of construction area 1 is scheduled for the first half of 2026. (aw)
