Migros Aare has completed the construction and expansion of its logistics center in Schönbühl (BE). According to Migros, CHF 250 million has been invested in the "Logistics Platform 2030" since 2018. With a building volume of 160,000 cubic meters, it is one of the most complex and largest platforms for fresh produce logistics in Switzerland. Schönbühl supplies 128 supermarkets and 45 Voi stores in the cantons of Bern, Solothurn and Aargau. Around 1,800 photovoltaic modules generating 1.5 million kWh of electricity were installed on the roof.

In the first stage, the returns logistics area was expanded by around 800 square meters and raised by two storeys from 2018 onwards. The area between the highway and the railroad was also made accessible via a newly built SBB underpass. In a second stage, a new operations center and a refrigerated picking area were built on the former Schaerer site between Obi and the Löwen garage (aw)
