Locarno: Dorint opens its sixth Swiss hotel
The German chain's new hotel on Lake Maggiore has 82 rooms.

The new Dorint Resort on Lake Maggiore has opened. Together with the Blüemlisalp Beatenberg/Interlaken, Basel City, Zurich-Airport, Bad-Zurzach and Interlaken locations, the German hotel chain now has six hotels in Switzerland. Dorint Hotels & Resorts Schweiz GmbH acts as the franchise cooperation partner.
In Locarno, Dorint has 82 rooms and suites, a restaurant, three meeting and event rooms for up to 100 guests and a large spa with an outdoor pool, sauna area and treatment rooms. Over CHF 20 million was invested. The property is owned by Montalbano Immobiliare SA of the Audrey & Luca Quadroni family. A 20-year lease agreement was concluded. Dorint has 62 hotels internationally. (aw)
