The official ground-breaking ceremony for the start of construction of the "Belano Zuhause" multi-generational residential complex at Girardstrasse 2 in Grenchen took place recently. The ceremony was attended by François Scheidegger, Mayor of Grenchen, Sebastian Ziörjen, Project Manager of the developer HIG Immobilien Anlage Stiftung and Daniel Dahinden, owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Belano Group. "As the second-largest town in the canton of Solothurn, we are looking for precisely such projects that set an urban development accent," said Mayor François Scheidegger.

In a central location, 71 barrier-free rental apartments, common rooms and a daycare center are being built in three buildings. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2026. The construction project was designed by SSM Architekten AG and will be continued by VB Architekten. The investor is HIG Immobilien Anlage Stiftung from Zurich. Erard Immobilien GmbH from Grenchen is organizing the letting. (aw)
