With a yes-vote share of 82.2 %, Davos voters have spoken out in favour of the realization of the Valbella residential quarter in Davos Dorf. The clear result shows how important the issue of living space is for the locals, commented the developer HRS on the result of the vote.

Following the preliminary project, detailed planning for the project will now begin. HRS intends to submit the planning application for the development in the second half of 2025. If everything goes according to plan, the ground-breaking ceremony could take place in 2026. After a two to three-year construction period, the apartments would be ready for occupancy in 2029. The clinic building will also be demolished this year or next. The construction costs will amount to around CHF 70 million.

Investor wanted

An investor is being sought for the construction of the rental apartments planned for the site. HRS Investment AG is the developer for the condominiums and terraced single-family homes that are also planned.

According to previous information A total of 150 apartments are to be built for local residents. Around a third of the apartments are to be offered as affordable rental apartments at cost rents. (aw)
