Lugano: The Flag opens senior residence
The first building in the German hospitality chain's senior living concept comprises 70 apartments.

Hospitality specialist The Flag has opened its first senior living building in Switzerland. "The Flag Lugano" comprises 70 apartments in a quiet location, which can be rented furnished or unfurnished. The one-, two- and three-room apartments range from 38 to 88 square meters, each with a small kitchen and terrace. Following the opening of the first building, a second neighboring building is due to be completed this summer, bringing the project to a close. Both buildings will be connected to each other. Several services will be offered on the first floor, and there will also be a restaurant and a wellness area. The first residents are due to move in in May. According to the press release, the offer is aimed at the premium segment.
The Flag has been operating its first ever Swiss location in Zurich since 2013 as a hotel for business and city travelers. In Germany, there are Senior Living hotels in Attendorn, Dülmen and Linz am Rhein. Another hotel in Wiesbaden is in the pipeline. (aw)
