SPS concludes study contract for Riverside Zuchwil

The study contract for the 170,000 sqm Riverside site in Zuchwil, where Swiss Prime Site (SPS) plans to develop a new quarter, has been completed. The study by the architectural firm KCAP led by Kees Christiaanse was recommended for further processing.

The concept is still to undergo adjustments, but will serve as the basis for the master plan to be developed. The brief was to define open and outdoor spaces on the site with the huge hall near the Aare River. In the opinion of the assessment panel, Christiaanse's team solved the task best, among other things because the buildable areas can be flexibly used with various buildings.

SPS acquired the Riverside Zuchwil site in 2012 and has now added it to the portfolio of the SPA Immobilien Schweiz investment group of the Swiss Prime Investment Foundation. The investment foundation under Swiss law has only recently been launched. (ah)
