Swiss Property acquires a stake in apartment building in Andermatt
Last week, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Schneefalke apartment house was celebrated in Andermatt. Andermatt Swiss Alps AG is realizing the house together with the investor Swiss Property.
Swiss Property specializes in the development of high-quality and ecologically sound residential real estate. Together, the two partners have founded Alpine Development Andermatt AG for the realization of the Schneefalke apartment building. This means that in addition to the Besix Group, which has a stake in the second hotel, another external investor is active in the Andermatt tourist resort, working together with Andermatt Swiss Alps AG to realize Samih Sawiris' vision.
The apartment building, now in its fifth year, offers 19 apartments with living spaces ranging from 26 square meters to 177 square meters. According to Andermatt Swiss Alps AG, the sales prices range from CHF 309,000 to around CHF 2.5 million. An average apartment measures about 90 square meters and costs just under one million Swiss francs, according to the report. The building includes a fitness area, a sauna and a steam bath, as well as a small gastronomy unit.
The completion and handover of the apartments will take place in the course of 2017.
