Novavest buys in Lucerne

Novavest Real Estate AG has acquired a residential and commercial building in the center of Lucerne for CHF 12.3 million.

The property is located in the Hirschmatt-Neustadt quarter at the junction of Voltastrasse and Zentralstrasse at the southern end of Lucerne's main railway station. It comprises 45 apartments (1- to 3-room apartments) as well as retail space that is rented out as a restaurant and storage space. The total rental area is 1,182 square meters and the target rental income is around CHF 650,000 per annum.

The property was built in 1923 and renovated in 2014/2015. All shops for daily needs, schools, restaurants, banks, the post office and Lucerne railroad station are just a few minutes' walk away. The Lucerne-Kriens freeway exit is around two kilometers away.

The notarization has already taken place; the transfer of ownership is scheduled for April 1, 2016. (ah)
