Visionapartments expands in the DACH region
Visionapartments, the Swiss provider of furnished temporary living, is expanding. Projects are under construction or in the pre-opening phase in Geneva, Vevey and Frankfurt. There are new real estate projects in Basel, Lausanne, Berlin and Vienna.
Work recently began on the conversion and expansion of the two real estate projects in Vevey (100 units in a hotel building right next to the train station) and Frankfurt City (130 units in an office building on Gutleutstrasse). Both buildings are scheduled to open in the course of summer 2017.
In Basel, the company has purchased a seven-storey residential building at Nauenstrasse 55. The building is located in the immediate vicinity of Basel SBB railroad station and is therefore very centrally located. There are plans to build 113 furnished residential units as well as fitness and wellness facilities there by 2018.
In Lausanne, a residential building is currently under construction as part of the "Les Jardins de la Venoge" project in the St. Sulpice district in the immediate vicinity of Lake Geneva. The new six-storey building will house around 100 residential units, a fitness center and 18 parking spaces by the end of 2017. Visionapartments is currently represented in two central city locations in Lausanne.
New projects also in Vienna and Berlin
Visionapartments is opening a second location in Berlin. The company has been present at Alexanderplatz since 2013, and the new location is in the immediate vicinity of Potsdamer Platz, more precisely on the Gabriele-Tergit-Promenade. The new building comprises around 55 residential units on the second floors of the "High Park Potsdamer Platz" project. The opening date is scheduled for fall 2017.
Visionapartments is also expanding its offering in the Austrian capital: The company has purchased the property of the former Hotel Tabor at Taborstrasse 25. Whether the building will be completely rebuilt or renovated remains to be seen. Around 90 units are planned in this attractive city location. The earliest opening date for this project is the end of 2017.
Visionapartments plans to double its portfolio from the current 1,000 to 2,000 serviced apartments by 2018, which is why potential expansion locations are being examined on an ongoing basis. (ah)
