Raiffeisen Futura buys in Gelterkinden
The Raiffeisen Futura Immo Fonds has acquired the property at Zelgwasserweg 21 and 23 in Gelterkinden (BL). The investment volume is CHF 10.8 million.

The new construction project consists of two apartment buildings with a total of 24 apartments, which will be realized from the fourth quarter of 2016. The apartment mix consists of eight 2.5-, 3.5- and 4.5-room apartments each, whose first occupancy is planned for spring 2018.
Gelterkinden has around 6,000 inhabitants and a good infrastructure. The town center with shopping facilities is about 400 meters away from the property, and the train station is 650 meters away. Aarau and Basel can be reached in 30 minutes, Bern and Zurich in less than an hour by train. According to Raiffeisen, the municipality has a very low vacancy rate and only a few building land reserves.
The buildings have three full floors and an attic and are being constructed as timber system buildings in ecological design with plastered facades and brine-water heat pumps. Thanks to compact floor plans, a high quality of living is achieved with below-average space consumption, Raiffeisen said in a statement.
The Raiffeisen Futura Immo Fund invests in sustainable real estate throughout Switzerland. The investment focus is on the distribution of 60 percent residential use and a maximum of 40 percent commercial use. (ah)
