Lausanne: voters clear the way for the major Malley-Gare project
The voters of Prilly (VD) in the west of Lausanne have given the green light for the densification of the neighborhood around the Malley train station. They approved the new zoning plan in a referendum.

Two new squares are to be built on the currently fallow land of the Malley-Gare district, flanked by two towers of maximum heights of 63 and 77 meters respectively. The new urban quarter will create 630 new jobs and housing for 420 residents.
Between 2022 and 2025, the Malley-Viaduc and Malley-Gazomètre projects are also planned in the Lausanne suburb, with three more towers that can reach heights of up to 100 meters. (ah)
