Risch: Development plan for Suurstoffi West approved
Another milestone has been reached for the Suurstoffi site development: The municipal assembly of Risch Rotkreuz has approved the amendment of the Langweid development plan, now Suurstoffi West.
However, the adapted development plan will not become legally binding until it is approved by the government council, which is expected in the first half of 2017.
The Suurstoffi West development plan enables densification in the western part of the site, directly by the railroad station. Three buildings are planned at this important urban location, including a 60-meter-high high-rise, which will provide space for the Zug-Rotkreuz campus of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and additional service areas. In addition, the connection of the east passenger overpass planned by the municipality of Risch is planned here, which will additionally link the two parts of the village and connect them to the SBB-Perrons.
"We are delighted with the trust placed in us by the population and interpret the result of the vote as confirmation of the high-quality and sustainable further development of the site," says Tobias Achermann, CEO of the landowner Zug Estates. (ah)
