Berne: "Burgunder Settlement" is a 2,000-watt site

The "Siedlung Burgunder" in Bern-Bümpliz has been certified as a 2,000-watt site. So far, only six sites in Switzerland have been awarded this certificate.

The "Burgunder Settlement" was planned and built almost ten years ago according to Minergie standards. It is also the first car-free settlement in Switzerland.

On a site area of 7,660 sqm, 82 apartments were created in four buildings. Two of the new buildings were built in Minergie-P-Eco, the arbor house has Minergie-P standard, and the renovation of the courtyard house achieved the Minergie standard.

The client was the city of Bern, which also developed the 2,000-watt "Stöckacker Süd" site.
