Halter focuses on micro apartments
The real estate developer Halter has developed a concept for flexible micro apartments. The first of these small apartments are to be occupied this year.

Halter wants to meet the growing demand for small apartments with the Movement living concept. It essentially consists of electronically movable room modules that allow residents to change their living situation in a 23-40 square meter room at the touch of a button. The bathroom is located in a separate room.
According to the developer, the residential concept is unique in Switzerland and is based on an idea by Austrian architect Angelo Roventa. The first 41 Movement apartments are to be occupied in the fall in The Jay development in Adliswil, with a further 35 to follow by fall 2021 in the Claraturm near Basel's Messeplatz. In the future, the Swiss real estate development company plans to build up to 300 units annually. (ah)
