Zurich: New Swiss Life project in Seefeld
Demolition of the parking garage on Hallenstrasse in Zurich's Seefeld district is on the horizon. Swiss Life is planning to build an apartment building on the approximately 600 square meter site.
New apartments in a sought-after location: The parking garage at Hallenstrasse 8, located just 200 meters behind the Zurich Opera House and most recently used for storage, is to make way for an apartment building. On the approximately 600-square-meter site in the Seefeld neighborhood, which went to the Swiss Life Investment Foundation in 2017 as part of a land swap with the city of Zurich, Swiss Life plans to build a new building with 15 apartments - ranging from smaller studios to 4.5-room apartments. According to media reports, the investment volume is eight million francs. Construction is scheduled to start next spring at the earliest, with a move-in date at the end of 2021. (bw)
