Wil: Mettler2Invest plans residential and commercial development
Mettler2Invest wants to build a development with apartments and commercial space on Untere Bahnhofstrasse in Wil (SG). The planning application is currently open to the public.

The project Untere Bahnhofstrasse 1-11, which Mettler2Invest plans to build on a good 4,500 sqm site near Wil railway station, comprises two buildings with space for housing and services as well as an underground car park and a public bicycle parking facility.
On the ground floors, a total of 2,154 sqm of space is planned for services and retail. A further 2,153 sqm of service space is planned for the first floors. The upper floors 2-8 are reserved for residential use: A total of 103 residential units (1.5 to 5.5 rooms) are to be built here.
The building application for the project will be open to the public until 25 August 2021. The basis for the development is the Untere Bahnhofstrasse 1-11 design plan, which, according to the municipality of Wil, will soon be approved by the cantonal building department.
Mettler2Invest expects construction to begin in the first quarter of 2022, with the buildings ready for occupancy in the third quarter of 2025. (ah)
