Wincasa to manage Basel Stücki in future
Wincasa becomes the new center manager of the Stücki shopping center in Basel, succeeding ECE. As of November 1, 2015, Wincasa will take over the responsibility for the operation and will continue to implement the already initiated reorientation towards a shopping and leisure center.
In the course of this repositioning, a fitness center and a children's indoor playground will open in the Stücki in 2016. "We would like to thank the European shopping center market leader ECE for its commitment since the opening of the Stücki in 2009 and the development of the strategic repositioning," explains Anastasius Tschopp, Head Portfolio Management of Swiss Prime Site, the owner of the Stücki site with shopping center, business park and hotel.
A management team led by Jörg Engeler, Head of Center Management German-speaking Switzerland at Wincasa, will start work at Stücki on November 1. Wincasa operates around 80 shopping centers and retail properties across Switzerland. "We are building a new management team in the coming months. During this time, conceptual work involving various specialists is also planned," says Jörg Engeler. (ah)
