Founded in 1925, the company currently operates 30 locations in Austria and a further seven through franchisees abroad, in Qatar, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Saudi Arabia.

In the 2014/15 fiscal year, Aida generated sales of around 23 million euros, while profits were only 60,000 euros. This was due to a rent repayment for 20 stores amounting to 950,000 euros, according to the Business Journal. In 2015/16, Managing Director Prousek expects sales to grow by around five percent to 24 million euros. Profit is expected to be around 500,000 euros. (ah)
