Subway expands in eastern Switzerland
The sandwich chain Subway will open a branch in St. Gallen after Easter. The location is a former office building on Waisenhausstrasse, where Subway has rented an area of 200 sqm.

The first Subway restaurant in Switzerland opened in Zurich in 2007, followed by a branch in Gossau in 2008. Today, there are 37 restaurants nationwide, but the new location in St. Gallen will be only the second in eastern Switzerland. Other branches are planned in Wil (SG) and Volketswil (ZH). (ah)
