Chur: Globus building to be renovated
The former Globus building at the Chur train station will not be demolished, but renovated. This was announced by the owner of the property, Axa Winterthur Insurance.

Axa Winterthur originally planned to demolish the building complex on Chur's Bahnhofplatz and replace it with two new buildings. However, it is now reported that negotiations with the neighbors on the project have failed. Axa Winterthur is now planning a complete renovation of the former department store and intends to apply for planning permission in September.
The planned uses include hospitality, retail space, offices and apartments. The renovated building is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in 2019. The costs will amount to CHF 35 million. (ah)
