Wincasa Center Management with new structure
The Center Management division of the real estate service provider Wincasa is reorganizing. In the future, there will be two hubs in Geneva and Lausanne instead of the previous headquarters for French-speaking Switzerland in Geneva.
"We want to get closer to the market, closer to the end customer," says Jean Genolet, who has been the new Head of Center Management Western Switzerland at Wincasa for the past year, explaining the strategic adjustment. "We operate a wide variety of shopping centers right across French-speaking Switzerland, from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Sion and from Geneva to Biel," he says. "Managing all that from Geneva was not optimal."
The division manages around 80 shopping centers and retail properties throughout Switzerland with a total area of 600,000 square meters. Jean Genolet now has overall responsibility for Western Switzerland with 23 shopping centers.
The Geneva hub is now headed by Yvan Meyer, who also heads La Praille, the largest shopping center operated by Wincasa in western Switzerland.
The Lausanne hub is managed by Stéphane Gasser. Gasser joined Wincasa a few months ago. He has held management positions in the retail industry for 15 years. (ah)
