Lugano: Manor closes branch in Viganello
The department store chain Manor will close its branch in Viganello in the municipality of Lugano at the end of January 2017, according to a report in the Handelszeitung.
The decision was made because of the declining sales at the location for five years, a Manor spokeswoman confirmed a report in the daily newspaper "Corriere del Ticino". In addition, the lease agreement expires at the end of March 2017.
However, the retailer stressed that investments in Ticino would continue. The department store in Vezia will be completely renovated this year. This has already been done at the store in Lugano at Salita Chiattone 10. (ah)
