Desigual closes some Swiss locations
The Spanish fashion label Desigual has closed its flagship stores in Geneva and the Glatt-Zentrum in Wallisellen, according to a report in the "Handelszeitung".
According to the newspaper report, Desigual is currently undergoing an efficiency program, which includes streamlining its store network. According to the report, the fashion company operated a total of 523 of its own stores worldwide at the end of 2016, 30 fewer than in the previous year.
In Switzerland, Desigual has closed important locations with the stores in Geneva and the Glatt Center in Wallisellen. However, the company has not completely withdrawn from the market, but is still represented with its own stores, particularly in the Zurich area: It has branches at Marktgasse 18 in Zurich and in the Shoppi Tivoli and Sihlcity shopping centers. The company also still operates a store in Lugano.
