Migros and Zur Rose test shop-in-shop pharmacies
On July 6, Migros and Zur Rose launched a pilot project. In Bern, a shop-in-shop pharmacy was set up in a Migros store for the first time; others are to follow.
Migros Aare has set up its first branch with a Zur Rose shop-in-shop pharmacy on Marktgasse in Bern. The pharmacy, which is only around 50 square meters in size, is in keeping with the brand image of the company, which has so far been known primarily as a mail-order pharmacy, and stands out from the rest of the retail space in the Migros store.
The small pharmacy is run by a team of pharmacists and pharmaceutical assistants. The offer consists of a full pharmacy assortment, it thus includes prescription and over-the-counter medicines as well as cosmetics and health products. In addition, services such as travel and vaccination advice and blood pressure measurement are offered. The same conditions apply in the shop-in-shop pharmacy as in the Zur Rose mail-order pharmacy.
The new pharmacy on Bern's Marktgasse is a pilot operation. "If the promising concept is successful, additional shop-in-shop pharmacies will soon follow in other Migros stores," announces Migros Aare.
