The opening is planned for April or May 2018, as the Luzerner Zeitung writes. Currently, the property in Zurich's prime location is home to the recently opened pop-up store of Swedish furniture retailer Ikea.

In Zurich, Lucerne-based Confisierie Bachmann is already represented by stores in the Sihlcity and Shoppi Tivoli shopping centers in Spreitenbach. The company currently has a total of 18 stores, ten of which are in Lucerne alone and others in Stans, Kriens, Emmenbrücke, Zug and Steinhausen.

According to the Luzerner Zeitung, the owner of the Art Nouveau property on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse is Tanova AG. According to confectionery co-owner Raphael Bachmann, the parties have agreed not to disclose the rent for the sought-after location. The branch is to be modeled on the store at Schwanenplatz in Lucerne.
