The building, planned by Zima Projektentwicklung AG from St. Gallen and developed together with Coop, will be realized according to low-energy standards. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof, which will supply up to 200,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.

The future Coop supermarket, including kiosk and flower department, will have around 2,000 sqm of sales area. A passerelle will provide direct access from the new building (architect: Pedrett AG, Will) to the existing Coop Bau+Hobby store. The supermarket chain is investing a total of CHF 25 million in the new building. It will be built on a 5,192 sqm plot of land and will have a total floor space of approx. 4,445 sqm.

The future offering of the Ilanz shopping center will also include a café/bistro run by a local operator and a Socar gas station with car wash and gas station store. Negotiations are underway with other potential tenants for the remaining vacant spaces. Currently, sales and service areas are still available, Zima informs.
