The Dreiländergalerie is being built to designs by Chapman Taylor Architects on a formerly urban site in the center of Weil am Rhein in the immediate vicinity of the border. The center is to have 16,500 square meters of retail space and 60 stores as well as food and beverage outlets, a daycare center and a three-story underground parking garage with 560 parking spaces.

Construction work on the center is scheduled to begin as early as early summer and be completed by the end of 2019.

The project is backed by the investor and developer company CEMAGG Weil am Rhein GmbH & Co. KG, a company from the Schapiragroup group. This group of investors is active in the fields of wholesale and retail real estate, shopping centers, nursing homes for the elderly, logistics and offices. The Dreiländergalerie is the company's first secondary development project, but a subsidiary operates shopping centers such as the Postgalerie in Karlsruhe. Apleona Real Estate Management is responsible for the development of the Dreiländergalerie.
