Zurich: Orell Füssli plans branch on Europaallee
Orell Füssli is expanding its branch network in Zurich. From summer 2019, the bookstore chain will be represented at the high-frequency Europaallee location.
The store on Europaallee will be Orell Füssli Thalia Ltd's seventh bookstore in Zurich, the company says. The store will cover around 300 square meters and will be located in the building complex adjoining Europaplatz and forming the prelude to Europaallee.
The store concept envisages a wide range of books with high-quality additional articles and a completely new store design with a focus on the shopping experience, the statement continues. One component is also the linking of stationary sales to Orell Füssli's online channels and digital offerings. With its large window fronts and generous interior design, the store on Europaallee will invite shoppers to discover, browse and linger.
Orell Füssli is pursuing a strategy of opening stores in high-frequency locations and at the same time linking them strongly to the company's omnichannel offerings. The bookseller has recently opened new locations in Basel at Freie Strasse 17 and at Marktgasse in St.Gallen. The Europaalllee location will be Orell Füssli Thalia's 33rd bookstore.
