Bern: Manor opens first department store in the city
On April 25, Manor opens its 61st department store in Bern. The new location is in the heart of Bern's old town.
In November 2018, Manor had announced that it would open a new location at Marktgasse 10 in Bern, and now the renovation work has been completed. The new department store in the capital includes 4,500 sqm of retail space as well as a 680 sqm restaurant with a roof terrace. The property is owned by the Zunftgesellschaft zu Schmieden; the OVS chain was previously a tenant.
"Not having a presence in the city of Bern has always hurt us. We are all the happier that we have now found the perfect location," said CEO Jérôme Gilg at the opening. (ah)
