Delivery service Stash is on course for expansion
Zurich-based delivery service Stash is now also represented in Lucerne. Expansion to Basel and Geneva is also planned, with more cities to follow over the course of the coming year.
At Stash, customers can order goods online and receive them delivered by bicycle courier within ten minutes. The range comprises around 1,000 products, including fruit and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products and drinks, but also snacks, frozen products, household and hygiene items, as well as alcohol and tobacco products.
The company was launched in Zurich in February 2021 and has also been present in Lucerne since mid-December. According to a report from 20 minutes Stash plans to launch in Basel and Geneva in the near future. Next year, the move to Lausanne, Bern, Winterthur and St. Gallen is planned. As the newspaper writes, it is a challenge for the company to find the right real estate.
According to H&B Real Estate AG, which is advising Stash on the development of its last-mile infrastructure, the start-up is looking for central product locations, so-called dark stores, in strategically sensible locations on the ground floor or in the basement with around 200 sqm of space. This creates additional demand for commercial uses in previously unprioritised locations, says H&B. Instead of footfall, the focus is on the traffic location. (ah)
