Multi becomes new operator of the Mall of Switzerland
Switzerland's second largest mall, the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon, is getting a new real estate and asset manager in Multi Corporation.
Multi Corporation will become the new operator of the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon, effective June 1, 2022. It succeeds La Société Générale Immobilière Suisse (SCC Shopping Centers Company) based in Geneva. Operational management of the mall will remain with the team led by center manager Jessica Janssen.
The Mall of Switzerland is a unique shopping and experience center with a lot of potential, says Benjamin Bettoun, International Head of Leasing at Multi Corporation. The new operating company wants to use its retail expertise and long-standing business relationships "to further develop the mall and take it to the next level." Furthermore, the needs of visitors and stakeholders are of key importance, Bettoun said.
Multi currently manages 80 properties in twelve countries with around 6,000 stores, restaurants and leisure facilities. According to the company, the sites attract more than 400 million customers annually, who spend around 4 billion euros (CHF 4.1 billion) there. (ah)
