Bern: Decathlon opts for small city center store

Bern's old town (Photo: Pixabay)The French sporting goods retailer Decathlon is moving into city center locations. The company has now opened a small location in Bern at Spitalgasse 4. The new store offers 420 square meters of space on two floors and is therefore considerably smaller than the stores that Decathlon usually operates in shopping centers.

Decathlon has already tested the new concept with a store in the center of Geneva. Because the experience has been good, the company says it will now be implemented in other cities. (ah)
