Rewe takes over Kuoni
DER Touristik, part of the German Rewe Group, is taking over the entire European tour operator business of Kuoni Travel Holding. According to Rewe, the transaction includes the tour operators, the specialists as well as the travel agencies and online sales in the Swiss, UK, Scandinavian, Finnish and Benelux markets.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or the details of the contract. However, according to an analyst at Zürcher Kantonalbank, the Report of the Tages Anzeiger of CHF 120 to 130 million. The acquisition is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities in the EU and Switzerland.
