SPS brings Riverside Zuchwil into new investment group
As of December 1, the Riverside Zuchwil site will be part of the portfolio of the "SPA Real Estate Switzerland" investment group of the Swiss Prime Investment Foundation. The Swiss investment foundation established by Swiss Prime Site AG was launched in summer 2015.
The SPA Real Estate Switzerland investment group focuses its investment strategy on Swiss residential real estate; the portfolio can also be supplemented with commercial real estate and real estate projects.
A special feature of the Riverside site is currently the most powerful roof-mounted photovoltaic system in Switzerland. At the end of September 2015, the plant on the roof of the production hall with a total output of 5,764 kilowatt peak (kWp) went into operation. It covers an area of 36,000 square meters.
The first photovoltaic plant in the Swiss Prime Site portfolio was installed at the end of 2012 on the roof of the La Praille shopping center in Geneva with an output of 184 kWp; it will be expanded by 52 kWp this year. Due to the good experience with photovoltaics, Swiss Prime Site has reviewed the entire portfolio for suitability for further installations. The roof area of the hall on the Riverside site in Zuchwil stood out as particularly suitable due to its size. (ah)
