SE Swiss Estates gives itself a new structure

SE Swiss Estates AG wants to optimize its corporate structure and transform the company into a tax-privileged holding company. Among other things, the registered office is to be moved to Lucerne and the purpose of the company modified.

At the same time, the properties that were previously held directly are to be transferred to subsidiaries with a regional structure. As a result, the properties previously held directly will subsequently be held indirectly by SE Swiss Estates AG via wholly-owned subsidiaries.

The Board of Directors expects significant tax advantages as a result of this procedure, in particular also due to the tax treatment of holding companies in the Canton of Lucerne, as well as administrative simplifications, for example in the area of tax segregation.

The plans will be voted on by an Extraordinary General Meeting on December 8, 2015.

As SE Swiss Estates further announces, the management of the Group's properties will be transferred to CSL Immobilien AG, Zurich, as of January 1, 2016. On the one hand, this is intended to further professionalize property management and, on the other hand, to make the costs for managing the properties more transparent and easier to plan. In view of the growth of the real estate portfolio to date, as well as the expansion planned for the future, this appears to be indispensable. (ah)
