Building technology: BKW takes over Balzer Ingenieure
The Grisons-based Balzer Ingenieure AG is now part of the BKW Group. The company, based in Chur and with locations in Winterthur and Baar (ZG), specializes in building services engineering and fire protection.
With 46 employees, Balzer Ingenieure AG is particularly active in the regions of Graubünden, Eastern Switzerland, Zurich and Zug. The company thus optimally complements BKW's existing range of services, the BKW Group writes in a media release. Building services engineering in Switzerland will in future comprise around 170 employees.
Projects managed by Balzer Ingenieure AG include the new construction of the Realta correctional facility in Cazis, the GLC ETH Zurich research building, the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and the Zölly high-rise in Zurich. The company will continue to operate within the BKW Group as an independent business under the management of the previous owner. (ah)
