Swiss Life AM to launch German real estate funds
Swiss Life Asset Managers establishes its own capital management company (KVG) in Germany in order to launch real estate funds there in the future.

A few days ago, asset manager Swiss Life Asset Managers received approval to operate the newly founded Swiss Life Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH from the German financial supervisory authority BaFin. Swiss Life AM intends to use the new company to launch open and closed-ended real estate investment funds under German law for institutional investors. A public real estate AIF for private investors is also planned.
As Stefan Mächler, Chief Investment Officer of the Swiss Life Group, says, Swiss Life KVG will launch its first funds in just a few weeks. "With Swiss Life KVG, we are creating a platform for launching our own real estate funds in Germany. Together with our German subsidiary Corpus Sireo, we want to use this to drive forward business with institutional and private investors in one of the leading European investment markets," says Mächler.
Ingo Hartlief, COO of Corpus Sireo, and Dr. Christine Bernhofer will take over the management of Swiss Life KVG. Hartlief will act as Spokesman of the Executive Board. (ah)
