Acron buys hotel project in San Francisco
Real estate investment company Acron has acquired the projected Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf Hotel in San Francisco.
With a total investment "in the multiple, triple-digit millions (USD)," according to Acron, it is the group's largest single investment to date.
The hotel will be operated under the "Sheraton" brand name on the basis of a 20-year contract and managed by the Pyramid Group. After the planned extensive renovation, the four-star hotel will comprise 531 rooms and various conference and event rooms.
Fisherman's Wharf is one of the main attractions in San Francisco and offers the approximately twelve million visitors a year many sights, such as the view of Alcatraz prison island and the Golden Gate Bridge. There are also numerous restaurants, museums and entertainment shows. (ah)
