Real estate services provider Cushman & Wakefield has entered into an exclusive Swiss partner agreement with SPG Intercity. The cooperation between the two companies has already existed for 23 years. Now it is confirmed on a formal level, with an "Affiliate Agreement".

The cooperation began in 1993 with Societé Privée de Gérance (SPG) and the Intercity Group, and continued in 2001 after the joint venture under the name SPG Intercity.

Cooperation to be deepened

Following the successful completion of the global merger between Cushman & Wakefield and DTZ in 2015, the two companies now intend to strengthen their cooperation. SPG Intercity will remain the exclusive Swiss partner of Cushman & Wakefield. In the coming weeks and months, the cooperation will be continuously deepened, he added. "The new agreement is another step towards working even more closely together and underlines our intention to further expand our track record in EMEA," says John Forrester, Chief Executive EMEA of Cushman & Wakefield.

Robert Hauri, co-owner and CEO of SPG Intercity Zurich AG, says: "Our form of organization brings together the best of two worlds: On the one hand, we are strongly anchored locally - in Switzerland due to our origins - and on the other hand, we have an excellent international network thanks to our long-standing collaboration with one and the same international partner." This know-how, he says, has given SPG Intercity its leading position in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland. (ah)
