SSN Group builds in Berlin
The real estate developer SSN Group from Zug is realizing the Bundesallee project in Berlin. Office buildings 1 and 2 of the quarter have already been sold to Berliner Volksbank.
Berliner Volksbank intends to use the premises as its company headquarters in the future. The office buildings have a total usable area of approx. 15,140 sqm and thus occupy only part of the entire quarter.
"SSN Group is pleased to be working with Berliner Volksbank to realize Quartier Bundesallee," said Michael Tockweiler, CEO of SSN Group AG. He added that the project will be the prelude to further projects in the German capital. "Berlin is increasingly in focus for us alongside the other metropolitan regions in Germany," Tockweiler added.
On the entire site, a new quarter with residential and office use is being built on almost 7,500 square meters of floor space, which will have a total usable floor space of approximately 28,600 square meters. Of this, approx. 7,200 sqm will be used for 75 apartments and approx. 21,400 sqm for offices. In addition, 117 underground parking spaces will be created.
Completion by 2019
In terms of urban planning, the new neighborhood not only marks a gap in the streetscape, but also the restoration of an area that has grown and is steeped in history. The plans for the project were drawn up and launched in close cooperation with the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district.
The area on Bundesallee and Nachodstrasse is divided into three distinct structures with superstructures up to ten stories high. The base floor will accommodate stores and restaurants, with offices above.
Until recently, the site was occupied by an office complex built in the 1970s, which was used by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Job Center until 2013. The building has since been completely demolished and civil engineering work has already begun. The neighborhood is scheduled for completion in 2019. The Berliner Volksbank is then also expected to move into the new premises.
The real estate company SSN Group AG was founded in 2004 by investors from Germany, Switzerland and the USA and is active in the areas of consulting, project development and financing. In addition to Switzerland, SSN GROUP has offices in Germany and the USA. Currently, the SSN Group employs 200 people.
