For JLL Switzerland, the merger means a significant expansion of its presence in western Switzerland and a broadening of its range of services: the real estate services provider now also offers consulting in the area of project management and control.

The new branch in Geneva is managed by Meridian founding partners Pierre Stämpfli and Anna Briffod. Meridian Immobilier SA (formerly DTZ) was founded in 2008 and employs ten people.

CEO Eckert: Further growth planned

JLL currently employs around 40 consultants at its offices in Zurich and Geneva. According to its own information, the company is one of the market leaders in the segment of real estate transactions for properties of ten million CHF and above as well as for valuation services for investment properties in Switzerland.

Jan Eckert, CEO of JLL Switzerland, announces further expansion: "We see considerable growth potential in Switzerland. In the coming years, JLL aims to expand via organic growth in combination with selected strategic acquisitions."

The real estate services provider's network comprises 70,000 employees in 280 offices in 80 countries; in 2015, the company managed real estate transactions worth around CHF 140 billion, valued properties worth around CHF 700 billion and was involved in lease negotiations for more than 100 million square meters.
