Stéphane Maquaire was most recently Executive President of the Vivarte Group (2016) and the Monoprix Group (2010-2016), which he joined in 2008 as Finance and Development Director. Previously, he worked at Unibail-Rodamco as operations manager for the shopping centers France division. Maquaire had started his career at Arthur Andersen.

Maquaire takes over at Manor from Bertrand Jungo, who served as CEO since 2006 and had been with the company since 1990. Jungo wants to take on new professional challenges, says Didier Maus, president of the Maus Frères Group, which includes Manor. "We regret his departure, but are also pleased to welcome Stéphane Maquaire, who knows all facets of European distribution and will continue to develop the company on the foundation laid by his predecessor." According to Maus, Manor is currently pursuing important projects in the area of e-commerce in particular.

Maquaire is a native of Alsace and trained as an engineer at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées; he is also a member of the board of directors of the Institut Français de la Mode.
