UBS investment foundations with longer notice period
The Board of Trustees of the UBS investment foundations AST Immobilien Schweiz and AST Kommerzielle Immobilien Schweiz has decided on new redemption modalities. From April, units can only be redeemed on a monthly basis instead of daily as before.
The new regulations are intended to take into account the "systematic conditions of the market for Swiss real estate," UBS says. As of April 1 this year, redemption will be extended from today's daily to then monthly with a notice period of 30 days.
At the same time, a volume restriction of CHF 30 million for UBS AST Real Estate Switzerland and CHF ten million for UBS AST Commercial Real Estate Switzerland will be introduced.
These measures are intended to ensure investor protection, avoid negative consequences for investment groups and their investors, and become more flexible in view of changing market conditions, the company explains.
