CBRE opens office in Lausanne
CBRE opens a branch office in Lausanne. With the new location, the real estate consulting firm aims to strengthen its presence in Western Switzerland.

The real estate consulting firm CBRE will open the new location on June 1. From Lausanne, investors, property users and developers will be advised on all real estate issues. "With the opening of the Lausanne office, we are following our clients in this continuously growing real estate market to advise them with even greater local expertise," says Florian Kuprecht, managing director of CBRE Switzerland.
The head of the new office and Senior Director for Western Switzerland is Vincent Leroux, who previously led the consulting firm's investment advisory team in French-speaking Switzerland.
The opening of the new office comes as little surprise. CBRE has had a presence in French-speaking Switzerland since 1997, during which time it has assisted clients "in various projects from Porrentruy to Verbier via Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Lausanne and Montreux," according to Leroux. The Lausanne office now strengthens CBRE's presence in Western Switzerland.
Over the past five years, the company advised CHF 5.5 billion in investments, almost half of which (2.7 billion) was in western Switzerland. Of the total 455,000 sqm brokered on behalf of landlords or tenants, 200,000 sqm were occupied in French-speaking Switzerland, according to the company. For new construction, the share was even higher: 337,000 sqm of the total 450,000 sqm of new space brokered by CBRE is located in French-speaking Switzerland.
