Change of president at the HGW
As of June 1, 2017, real estate expert Dieter Beeler took over as President of HGW Heimstätten-Genossenschaft Winterthur.
HGW is, according to its own information, the sixth largest housing cooperative in Switzerland and with its properties mainly anchored in Winterthur and the surrounding area. The new president Dieter Beeler also serves in a secondary capacity as president of SVIT Zurich (Swiss Real Estate Association), is a member of the advisory board of realmatch 360.com (analysis of housing demand) and on the board of trustees of the Domicil Zurich Foundation.
Beeler's predecessor Ulrich Sutter stepped down after nine years of service to Heimstätten-Genossenschaft Winterthur at the Annual General Meeting on May 18, 2017. During his term of office, the business organization was formed and expanded with the four independent business units Management, Finance, Construction + Planning, and Cooperative Affairs.
The cooperative currently owns 2,000 residential units, and a further 250 new apartments are under construction. With land acquisitions and the development of design plans, intensive preparatory work is also being done for the further growth of HGW, writes the non-profit Winterthur housing cooperative founded in 1923.
