New CTO at Homegate

Jens Paul Berndt will assume responsibility for the further technological development and operation of the Swiss real estate portal and will report directly to CEO Axel Konjack. Berndt has gained extensive technology experience in the digital and IT environment over the past 20 years, the company writes.

He comes from the Berlin branch of the Scout24 Group, operator of digital marketplaces for real estate and cars. There, as Head of Technology, he was most recently responsible for the new construction and home building market segment and, as Head of Product Engineering, for the expansion of the Austrian real estate portal from Vienna.

Jens Paul Berndt studied medical informatics at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and subsequently managed various IT and digital projects for companies such as Volkswagen AG, Toyota Deutschland GmbH and Daimler Financial Services AG in Stuttgart. He succeeds Dave Cannizzaro, the long-time IT director of Homegate AG, who will be taking on new professional challenges, according to the statement.
