Novum Group plans further niu hotels
The niu brand concept of the German Novum Hotel Group, launched in spring 2017, continues to expand and plans to open a property in Switzerland soon.

The first step is the leap to Austria, according to the hotel group. There, it has "secured the next strategic location in Europe" with Vienna. A 159-room hotel will open there at Dresdner Strasse 111 at the beginning of 2018. The partner in this project is the Bridge Group, a real estate development and investment company based in the Austrian capital. The new hotel between Augarten and the Danube will be called "niu Franz".
The niu in Vienna will be the second niu in other European countries after Haarlem in the Netherlands. Before that, the German Novum Hotel Group will open its first niu in Essen on the corner of Kruppstrasse and Friedrichstrasse in mid-November with 145 rooms. Further properties are under development in Hamburg, Mannheim and Bremen.
As David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & Owner of the family-run Novum Hotel Group, which currently has 146 three- and four-star hotels (with more than 16,000 hotel rooms) in over 65 locations in Europe, explains, they also already have their sights set on the next projects in Switzerland, Hungary and the UK. More than 30 niu hotels are planned in total. "Accelerating dynamic growth through strategic partnerships has been successfully implemented," Etmenan says.
